Most of those onboard having nothing to lose, and they’re readying to brave the perilous sea for fortune and glory; carving their names in gold in the annals of history.”

In The Cursed Voyage the party has responded to a job offering with “a mountain of gold” promised in pay, though a hazard warning of “near certainty of death.” With nothing to lose, they join the crew of the Gilded Seahorse, a group of scallywags and ne’er-do-wells who have spent the better part of a year searching Tharador’s southern seas for the fabled Damned Galleon and its bounty. Now, Captain Baradin is sure of its location, promising one final voyage to those brave enough to stand by him, and come face to face with the pale visage of death.
